Best in the Region!

The northern Black Hills receives at least an average of 125 inches of snow in the winter beginning sometimes as early as September. Lower elevations receive less snow, usually several weeks later. Strenuous winter sports like Downhill and Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowmobiling, and Rock and Ice Climbing draw more visitors to the Black Hills every year. Less active, but no less popular is Ice Fishing on the many lakes of the area.
